Utilizing Shimano's CoreSolid and Hagane metal body technologies, the Tranx has a solid infrastructure for all its internal workings to operate seamlessly within. High drag and winding loads are met with a robust design, with the B-Side Plate, levelwind guard, and frame being integrated into one solid-piece construction. This benefits the angler with a more solid feel in hand, along with stabilized internal workings that are set to last even longer. Cranking power is also improved, given that is more directly influenced with every bit of input anglers have into the handle, making for a highly efficient reel. Less body pieces are needed, compacting its design to be more palmable and ergonomic in form for all day use.

Comprehensive Braking

Incorporated for its first time to the North American market, SVS Infinity MD Tune allows anglers to more easily finetune the braking setting with stepless adjustment using the reels external dial. The system is a more powerful version of the standard SVS Infinity, made for reels that are intended to be used with larger baits. Adjusting for different bait sizes, changing weather conditions, and more can be changed on the fly with the external dial to avoid dreaded backlashes and breakoffs. The internal braking aspects of MD Tune provide the necessary power of eight braking shoes, complimenting the high inertia spool and greater line capacity reels such as the Tranx have. Giant baits and the unfortunate aspects of how air resistance affects them are a thing of the past, providing a more direct connection to the reels adjustability to the angler.
